what remains.

In Kolmanskop, a ghost town haunted by the memories of bygone fortunes, the relentless march of time is on full display. Once a bustling hub of diamond mining activity, the town now lies abandoned and forgotten, its once-grand houses slowly being consumed by the ever-shifting sands of the Namib Desert. It is a haunting reminder of the transience of human ambition and the impermanence of all things, as the houses that were built with such hope and optimism now stand as mere shadows of their former selves, slowly being swallowed up by the sands of time. In the end, it is a stark and sobering reminder that nothing lasts forever, and that even the greatest of human achievements can ultimately be reclaimed by the forces of nature.
